They may not be secrets, but I can’t think of a better title. Anyway, as I was cleaning all day today, I figure I am going to share a few of my cleaning secrets:
- Hardwood floors – Our floor in the whole house is about 95% hardwood; the rest of which are natural stone(marble, granite). My husband and I are the only people around, so scuff marks are very limited. Should there be any, I use white scrubby sponges (those with textured back). On a regular basis, since the floor is sealed I just vacuum. I do use a damp mop probably every 3 months.
- Baseboards and other painted surfaces – There are no fingerprints as we have no child. I just dust using Swiffer Duster. For tough marks, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser does wonders. I am so in love with this product.
- Paintings – I use a badger-hairbrush which I buy online. It lifts dirt out of the tiny grooves from fragile frames.
- Plexiglas – I just dust using microfiber cloth.
