Did a lot of us include dieting a New Year’s resolution? For me, I didn’t. In fact, I have stopped making resolutions many moons ago. I would love to start a diet though, but I have always failed on doing it because, I’m home most of the time, and the food whether healthy or junk are there for the taking any moment I want. A lot of people tell me that I don’t need to go on a diet, as they find my height proportional to my weight. The fact of the matter is, as we age, there are hidden stubborn bulges out there, that many overlook.
Anyway, I learned that the best way to jump start ones diet is to eat breakfast. Yes, you got it right. Eat breakfast!!!! Many of us skip breakfast all together. Refueling our bodies via a good breakfast in the morning revs up our metabolism, rather than letting it linger in “sleep mode”. This way, we burn more calories. Boy, do I love to burn tons of calories! When we eat enough for breakfast, hunger is controlled. The best thing is, according to studies breakfast eaters tend to have lower cholesterol levels which means lesser chance of developing heart disease and of course, diabetes.
Maybe I should start hitting the sack early every night, so I wake up at a decent time in the morning to have a hearty breakfast. Come on, join me.
