*Do you love candles like I do? I bet, you also hate the mess they leave behind. The solution? Before you place the candle in a holder, pour a drop or two of water into the bottom of the glass. When the candle burns down, the leftover wax won’t stick. If in case you forgot to pour water, and the candle won’t budge, place the holder in the freezer; the wax should loosen in minutes. This always works, it’s like magic.
* Try boiling a cup of water and one or two tablespoons of vinegar for a few minutes (don’t let the pan boil dry) to get the heavy fried food smell out of the air after cooking. Don’t forget to turn on the range hood or fan to dissipate the smell. Should the odor linger, dip a clean dishtowel in full-strength vinegar, wring out the liquid, then wave the the cloth around.
