Here’s one additional reason to eat more seafood. Researchers say, eating seafood may lift your mood. I have no problem with this, because as it is, I am already a seafood person. I love any kind of seafood. Anyway, researchers are not sure why, but people who eat a diet rich in heart healthy omega 3 fatty acids seem to suffer significantly less depression.
I am not nor anyone is recommending fish-oil supplements as antidepressants, but I think it couldn’t hurt if we include fish on our menu at least twice a week. And wanna know the best choices? Salmon, sardines, lake trout, tuna (albacore), mackerel and herring. Happy fishing!
