There are three things that we cannot change about our metabolism. Our genes account for some of our resting metabolic rate, and unfortunately we can’t do anything about them. Or maybe just yell at Mom or Granny as they are to blame for those extra pounds. Secondly, our height is a factor because the taller we are, the more calories we burn at rest. Last but not the least, our gender. Most men are taller and far more muscular than women and this is advantageous to men, as males produce more testosterone and have 10 to 20 times more muscle-building potential than women. We, women spend years feeling annoyed that the husband don’t gain as much weight as us. This is the reason and we can’t do anything about it. That’s just the way it is.
