Leg Cramp At Night

Does it happen to you often? It does to me once in a blue moon, and when I have it, it really hurts. I don’t know what to do; should I just lay still or raise my legs. Till I learned that you should flex your foot for a few seconds so that your toes point toward your knees. If that doesn’t work, try a “wall push-up” by standing at an arm’s length from the wall and lean forward, keeping your heels pressed to the floor. If you do this even before turning in, you can prevent cramping altogether.

Another cause of calf spasms is dehydration. Try to drink  more water(but not after 6:00 p.m. if you turn in early or you’ll be waking up for an entirely different reason!).
