We’re now right in the middle of the year, and before we know it, December is here. Being the organized person that I am, I also don’t like to rush into doing things. I like planning and plotting way ahead in advance. That said, what about if I tell you I’m already starting to think about how our holiday greeting card will look like. I promised, that this Christmas it won’t be one of those boxed cards from Crane’s. It will be a custom made greeting card from CardsDirect.com with our photo on it on a Photo Card Stationary like this one:
Of course, it will not look like this exactly, as I’m going to make sure hubby and I will have a professional portrait taken in a studio. I figure, it’s only once a year and having a photo with high resolution will enhance the look of the card. I love the elegance and simplicity of this card stock. The gold brush strokes complete the look. I will probably opt for the card to be oriented vertically and just have the verse “Happy Holidays” on the bottom border. Inside, the greetings will be something simple. As you know, we are not only an interracial couple, we also practice different religions, so we always like our holiday cards generic to avoid issues with our folks. I would opt for a black ink and graphite typestyle.
Now, am I making your imaginations run wild? I hope not. Check out the site, you’ll love their selection of cards. You’ll enjoy personalizing your own too. I actually tried a few, and boy, it’s really fun. I can get addicted to it, and might end up ordering personalized photo cards every time there’s an occasion. Would that spell trouble with my financier(hubby)? Your guess is as good as mine.
