Carrots are good for the eyes, we all know that. But recently, cruciferous vegetables have been noted to protect the eyes from light damage. These veggies would be broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage. In fact, even broccoli sprouts also offers the same protection. Protecting the eyes from UV damage prevents macular degeneration which may lead to age related blindness.
