Oh well, how do we save fuel? There are no strategies , I know; with the never ending increase in prices, how can we really save? Prices go up almost every week, I don’t even want to think about it anymore.
With that said, we can only do so much to try and conserve gas. Keeping tires properly inflated is my number one fuel saving tip, of course this is on top of the fact that this is also a safety measure. Under- inflated tires as we all know, wear unevenly and waste fuel. That driving habit or “style” wherein we accelerate hardly, also leads to more gas consumption. Driving smoothly is recommended.
Oh, and don’t we all make our vehicles as rolling storage bins? I’m guilty about this. But removing heavy cargo to save unnecessary weight saves fuel too. In fact, we should remove wind-blocking roof racks and cargo carriers, as both increase a vehicle’s fuel consumption at highway speeds.
