A week ago, I was surprised to see these two bottles of supplements ( red yeast rice and fish oil) added to our already large arsenal of ‘pills’ on the kitchen counter where they are neatly tucked away.
If it was not me that got them there, there’s no other else but my husband. According from him, a colleague recommended both as part of a regimen to lower cholesterol count. He has been religiously taking the pills morning and night. Why is he concerned? Because from the last time he went for his annual physical exam, his cholesterol was on the high side. He is due to go again in September.
I’m not quite sure if it’s going to be effective, because he is not changing his diet. He exercises regularly, alright, but if his diet is not controlled I don’t know if it will work at all. Knowing him as a foodie, he is not ever going to be willing to sacrifice his fave food.
Does anyone has a good story to tell about these two supplements?
