What Works Better?

When you are faced to deal with depression and anxiety, where do you turn to? It’s bad enough, if you are the one afflicted with it, but nothing can be worse thanĀ  loved one’s watching the person drown in depression. It’s such an amazing thing, that nowadays, there are different ways to combat depression and anxiety. Some work good and some has no effect at all on the person. It is to be noted though, that the source of help to fight depression and anxiety can make a big difference in the kind of care that one receives and how thorough the recovery is.

It’s been noted, that with or without drugs, people who get help certainly gain relief. Talk therapy as they call it, is almost as effective if the therapy lasts for a certain number of visits which is 13 or more. In combination with drugs, this will work a lot better.

Some people go for drug therapy as it has a faster impact but trial and error is prevalent. As soon as the type of drug that works best without unacceptable side effects is established, it often works good.

Whichever type of treatment one gets, it is very critical to seek professional help. We have a short life to live, don’t waste that precious time.

From my personal experience I have to drag myself and do the things that I used to enjoy doing. Even though these might not seem like fun at first it does get you out of the downward spiral of depression. I tend to do the same to my friends and just drag them out for some kind of activity they enjoyed doing.
