My Take On Hotels
My passion for traveling started when I was a kid. It was later strengthened when I became an adult and I wanted to see more of the world. It did not help that I marry someone who also loves to travel. Now, visiting different countries has become an obsession, I wish we can do it more often. Every year, we maximize the five weeks of vacation days of my husband. It’s tough to plan but I should not complain, because five weeks is already a lot.
With that said, I must admit that whenever we travel the biggest expense is our accommodation. We love staying in “nice” hotels that we can afford. We believe that we deserve to stay in a neat, clean and attractive room that is as comfortable or more comfortable than what we’re used to at home. A well kept room that’s made up promptly, preferably with a turn down service is a must for us. Needless to say, ample toiletries and towels is also a requirement.
Through all the years of travel, I have come to realize that value, meaning what we get for our money, is relative, which means it is largely dependent on one’s expectations.

It feels good to stay in a nice and luxurious hotel even for a few days. But hubby and I can’t afford the expensive ones so when we travel or go on vacation, we stay in a hotel that we can afford.
