From years of traveling, I am very well aware about the dilemma of pulling out a cotton shirt from my suit case and it’s already totally wrinkled. If you’re staying in a hotel equipped with an ironing board and iron, you’re lucky. More often than not, luxury hotels don’t have that in their rooms, so you will then be compelled to send the shirt out for ironing and pay a hefty price for the service, that is, if you don’t want to walk around with a wrinkled top, you know, we’re not talking about baby clothes here, so it has to be pristine.
What if you are not willing to pay for the service? As I said, there are several steps that you can do and opt for what you feel comfortable doing. Holding a hair dryer over the wrinkles until it looks okay is one. You can also steam the shirt by hanging it on the bathroom door and turning the shower tap for a few minutes set at the hottest setting. Or, you can even mist water on the wrinkled area and hang the shirt till it dries.
If one of the above works, you can then pat yourself on the back and get yourself a good cup of cappuccino at the nearest fancy coffee house.
