One of the tours that I booked prior to our Italian holiday was a Venetian Food Tour. Knowing how a “foodie” my husband is, I knew he will surely love the idea that we are joining this tour. Not exactly a cheap tour as we paid $120 each.
On our last night in Venice, we joined this tour. We met tourists from different countries and had the chance to go to restos that only locals go to. It was such a great experience as we had the chance to get a taste of authentic Venetian food sans the flock of tourists. Needless to say, the three restaurants we went to were restaurants away from the tourists area that did not require dress code, absolutely no silk ties needed. The only other people we saw were locals. It was crowded and I tell you, Venetians really love their food and wine and I can’t blame them for everything was yummy.
We had unlimited wine, but knowing that I can only tolerate a glass a night, I had two glasses only and later on in the night, I was drinking soda. Forgive me, but I am posting foods that will surely make your mouth water one more time.
F with the couple from London. These two love New York. They are coming back again in December.
That’s the group heading to the next restaurant
Me with the couple from France. Funny, but the woman told me her daughter dated a guy from the Philippines.
I didn’t take note of the name of the dishes. All I can say is that everything was delicious.
