How do you take off candle wax from a tablecloth? A timely question, right? The entertaining season is almost upon us starting with the Thanksgiving feast in a couple of weeks. Thus, I can’t help but pose this question. As far as I know, the technique would be the same as when you want to clean up a candle holder from drips of wax.
Start by placing the table cloth (wrapped in clean plastic) in the freezer to dry out the wax. Another way to handle it is by scraping off the hardened wax using a dull knife. After which, put paper towels on each side of the stain and with your iron set at the coolest setting, iron the area. The need to change the paper towels a few times maybe required to fully absorb all of the wax. Then go ahead and launder as usual.
