It’s Turkey day this coming Thursday, and that means we will all be feasting on a lot of delicious holiday dishes. These rich holiday foods can get one in trouble, as heartburn may not be far behind. Knowing how my husband sometimes tend to overeat, I wonder if I have to check out different appetite suppressants to ensure he is in control.
Painful burning in the chest accompanied with bitter or sour taste in the mouth is the symptom of heartburn. This normally hits after we overeat thus, saying no to seconds or thirds is always a good idea. Another culprit are those spicy and fatty foods as well as onions, garlic and citrus fruits. Other offenders are after dinner mints and chocolates, so it is best to stay away from them if you are prone to heartburn.
