Renovation
Prior to moving to our house more than four years ago, we gutted the whole place and through all that, long and arduous as it may have been, I have learned a lot. Dealing with the architect, the contractor and the interior designer all at the same time was not at all easy. The construction did not go without glitches. We actually didn’t move in as scheduled because on the day specified, the tile man was still installing the backsplash in the kitchen. The only good thing is that even if we didn’t adhere to our budget, as we had changes along the way, the total expenses was not at all bad.
I was very meticulous with the bathrooms and the kitchen. Those are the two rooms that I made sure all my wishes and specifications were adhered to. All the necessary accessories including the Moen faucets that I handpicked were installed. I know that after the complete overhaul, I will never want to do any major works again while living here. I can’t take the mess and the chaos that renovation brings especially if you are currently living in the place.
That is why when you have the chance to do a major re-do of your space, ensure that you get what you wish for. No ifs and buts.
