The Business In-Waiting

During tumultuous times  just like right now, (as we all know by now, we’re in the midst of a recession), I wonder what  small business opportunities would do well. I am aware that there are opportunities out there, and when they are managed properly they thrive even in the worse economic situation.

I am an advocate for small to medium scale businesses. I, for one have a first hand experience with our beverage distributorship business in the Philippines that’s been ongoing for years. I must admit though, that sometimes I get very paranoid with how it is being managed because we are not there to witness everything first hand. We rely on the honesty and integrity of people under our employ, and heavily base our major decisions based on the financials presented to us. If you are not physically there to manage, the next best thing is to have trustworthy people and hope that they deliver.

It’s been great, and for the many years of good business, I can definitely say that having the distributorship have somewhat made us feel, there is something to fall back on if we decide to move there.
