Nuts should be incorporated in our diet, as they are loaded with fiber, protein and antioxidants. The kind of fat found in them has been proven to aid satiety, boost cognitive function as well as protection against heart disease.
We all know that hazelnuts are best for flavoring in coffee as well as dark chocolate. But when they are mixed with other nuts or when crushed and sprinkled over fish, chicken, salads and greens they are a good source of phosphorus, folate as well as Vitamin B. Likewise, cashews which are touted as high in oleic acid, the monounsaturated fat found in olive oil.
Pistachio nuts are not only more than pretty to eat. They can be tossed into your bowl of ice cream . They are easy to digest and very high in nutrients. And if you can source Brazil nuts (it taste like a cross between almonds and cashews) they are very good thrown in green salads or when crushed and used as coating for halibut fish with fresh herbs for roasting, they are an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids and selenium.

So are Cashews good or bad for you? I doubt they’re good for you but… man those things taste good!
