Safran Roll

It’s been a while since I last shared a recipe here, and while I’m still not, I think this will suffice for now. This has been my latest addiction lately. With the wide array of restaurants here in NY, virtually every cuisine is available, it is such a joy to discover dishes that eventually become staples.

This dish is called Safran Roll. Grilled shrimp and scallop, fried calamari, masago and avocado freshly wrapped in rice paper with crisp fruit and vegetables. With my voracious appetite, I can easily put away 8 pieces of this.

The restaurant Safran is located on 7th Avenue in Manhattan. They specialize in Vietnamese and French cuisine. My husband and I have been frequenting this place for quite sometime and being that it’s location is prime, my husband also takes out food from there pretty often. All the dishes we have tried so far are excellent.
