I’m about to start my search for a tv stand, but before doing so I wanted to share with you a beautiful way to display your flowers this summer.
Yes, I’m talking about your peonies, lilacs, cottage roses or hydrangeas from your own garden. As the summer heats up, nothing freshens up a room just like having a vase that is filled with the above mentioned blooms. For a change though, try using a glass container instead of a traditional vase to showcase these pretty blooms. A wide tall vessel such as a trifle dish or maybe a glass salad bowl will do.
All you need to do is place the flowers (blooms and all) inside the container. A couple of stems or three flowers would do. You would only need just enough water so as the bottom of the stems is covered.
Where did I get this idea? From the table centerpieces at my wedding.
The only difference is that, instead of using a traditional vase, a wide mouth glass container is used and the flowers are not immersed under water.
