Get An Appointment For The Right Reason
It’s been a few years since I last visited my Dermatologist. Unlike my husband, who goes every year for his annual skin cancer screening, for some reason I don’t go religiously simply because I’m not Caucasian. Yes, it’s actually a bad reason, but I have been getting away with it. I actually thought I would be forced to make an appointment a week ago because of a single zit and I wanted to get cortisone injection, but because it dried up and it’s now gone, I canceled the appointment. I will eventually have to go before the year ends, though, because I want some sun spots checked. If it was a trip to the spa, I’d sooner go often (as often as I get my facials).
Based on my husband’s recent visit and his roving eyes, he told me that every year that he goes to the Derma office that we go to, he always notices a new state of the art medical equipment. With the advancement in dermatology, I’m actually not surprised hearing about this at all.
I have to stop procrastinating and see the Dermatologist soon. As we all know, it pays to visit the Derma for skin cancer screening every year. Remember, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.
