Cleaning Your Teak Bowl
Teak is such a beautiful wood, it is hardy but it does need special care.
Hand washing is recommended and you should use only mild dishwashing soap. Never let the bowl soak and it has to be dried right away with a soft cloth. Air-drying teak bowl is not recommended. Never ever put them in the dishwasher or the refrigerator as extreme temperatures , humidity and dry air can cause the wood to crack. It is best to store them in a spot with good air circulation away from direct sunlight, the oven and heaters. Rubbing bowl with mineral oil occasionally is recommended to maintain the finish.
Who would have thought even a bowl needs special care? Now, I seriously doubt if a fitness equipment such as the Nordictrack Incline Trainer also needs any kind of special care. I need to research on it, because the gym fanatic in my home wants to acquire one. He figures, that will significantly cut his gym time if there’s one in the house.
