Family and friends who know me to the core can attest to the fact that I love Designer Bags and Designer Shoes. This love affair started at 21 years of age and finally became gainfully employed thus, I was able to finance my passion without asking assistance from my parents. Simultaneous with this, was the start of my love for travel. Put the two together, and it was really divine!
Those were the days when I would visit the US and I wouldn’t dare to pack in my luggage all the shoes and bags without their boxes even if they occupied all the space. I would leave the Philippines with almost empty luggage and go back with luggage packed to the seams and worse, send off a box full of my shopping loots ahead of my return.
I must admit that I have not changed. The only difference now is that I don’t over shop. I now tend to shop for items and enjoy the new designer goodies that I buy one at a time. The only reason why I did what I used to do was because of the fact that I was able to purchase these designer goods only in the US (at that time) at a much better price even if I had to pay the sales tax. Of course, there was Hong Kong and the other Asian destinations but I preferred buying those goods when I visited the US then.
I believe that every one has his/her own passion. I can’t even say that it’s an addiction because I can probably get by and won’t have any withdrawal symptoms if there will come a time that I can no longer afford to get one. Of course, I’m hoping that it won’t ever get to that.
