Prior to our trip to Ireland, I made sure that we were made aware of the weather at the time of our visit. While we were already enjoying a much nicer weather in New York with temps at very comfortable high 70’s when we left, we knew that we were in for a much cooler weather in Ireland.
So we thought we were ready for it, but it turned out that we were not. Though I managed to pack three jackets for each of us, the warmest jacket we had was leather. I was shivering all day on our first day, my skin suddenly got dry. On our second day, we decided it was best for us to buy scarves. Third day into our trip, I noticed a couple of bumps forming on my face. I dread the thought of having zits while on vacation as this would clearly require that I need an acne face cream. It won’t be as bad if I had one with me (the brand that I’m used to), but I didn’t bother to include it in my arsenal of toiletries that I brought along.
Lesson learned? Be ready for the unexpected. That includes not only changes in weather but also the possibility of breaking out (LOL).
