As a seasoned traveler, I never fail to ensure that my luggage are properly identified. How do I do it? I normally type out and print the address of my destination, as well as my home address including contact numbers. This goes inside and outside the luggage. However, on our recent trip to Ireland, I totally failed to print such.
Since I noticed it at the last minute, I had no choice but manually scribble the destination address and made use of a couple of address labels that I currently have on hand indicating our home address. Voila! I made an instant luggage tag.
Incidentally, aside from a nifty fuchsia ribbon tied as a visual identifier on our luggage, it was the first time that I used a luggage tag sent by my sister in law. From afar, when the luggage were out on the conveyor, ours were so visible, as the yellow and black tag bearing our last name was screaming.
Even if our luggage have so many look-alikes, by having these visual identifiers attached to them, there was no way we would miss ours.
