St. Patrick’s Cathedral is Ireland’s largest church and one of the most beloved places of worship in the world. It is actually one of the two Anglican cathedrals in Dublin. The core of the Gothic structure was built in the 13th century.
I wanted to take a peek of the cathedral, so off we went. Having been at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City gazillion times, I was quick to compare the two cathedrals. What can I say, I’m an adopted New Yorker and please don’t blame me if I say that I like the cathedral in New York city more than the one in Dublin. The decorated Neo-Gothic architecture of the cathedral in NYC as well as the general look of the interior resonates with me more. I know, I shouldn’t be comparing the two but I can’t help it.
