When I went to college, I never aspired to complete a degree where I have to work with numbers. Knowing fully well that I will never really learn to like or love math, it was totally clear that a finance job was not an option. I’m pretty sure that a lot of math whiz out there love their chosen field. It’s just that I was probably born with phobia of numbers. Numerophobia or Arithmophobia is how you call it, right?
Was I happy with my choice? Not totally! Reason being that the course was forced on me. My Mom wanted to have a medical doctor in the family and she thought I was cut out for it. I’ve actually wrote about this in recent past.
I didn’t become a doctor, but nevertheless, my Mom is happy with what I achieved. In the end, what matters is the fact that I completed the degree that I started, and since then I led a productive life that even I myself did not even imagine.
