I can not recall the last time that I’ve been a recipient of spa gift baskets . I used to get them courtesy of my husband during the first year of our marriage but I put a stop to it. I figured, it’s nice to have spa products at home but I miss the total pampering that I can get when I go to the spa. Thus, instead of spa baskets, I creatively found a way for him to buy me a spa membership, and it worked because he didn’t just buy one but two (him included).
However, because of my severe chronic allergic rhinitis, I haven’t been to the spa since January as I don’t want to expose myself to different scents that can potentially trigger a flare up. And since he does not want to go alone, both spa membership has not been utilized since.
For now, I’m trying to take care of ‘business’ my way perusing pieces from a spa basket that I bought in lieu of the real treat. It’s good enough and it’s okay. It may actually take a long time before I even attempt to go back to the spa, so I have to make do with my makeshift spa at home.
