Whenever I’m behind the wheel and we’re trudging an all new terrain, it stresses me no end when road signs are not highly visible. Let’s not forget that these signs are highly valuable much more to a stranger than the locals driving within the area.
That is precisely the reason why my husband and I don’t want to take long drives. In as much as we love to travel, seeing nearby locales that we haven’t been to is still on the planning board because of this hindrance. Flying, no matter how inconvenient it may be, because of all the security measures in place, it is still our mode of transportation of choice when we travel. At the airport, at least, proper signs such as no ‘trespassing signs’ or whatever the case may be, are highly visible to guide every passenger.
I may go on and on about the myriad of reasons why I love flying and may even spark a debate here, but I don’t want to go there.
No matter what I say, and no matter how I don’t really love driving, I have no choice but get behind the wheel if I want to get to my destination. That is reality and there is nothing I can do much about it. Hence, when driving is called for, I always fervently hope that street signs are there and are strategically positioned so they serve their purpose.
How about you, is driving your thing?
