To complete my Bachelor’s degree, one year hospital internship was part of the curriculum. While it may have been torture to most, I felt the other way because that year was the high point of my college days. It was at that last year that I enjoyed the most. My exposure to different people in different hospitals gave me a better understanding of various people from all walks of life.
I took that last year pretty seriously. It helped that I was donned in medical scrubs most of the time as I equated that with serious responsibility. I have to admit that I liked wearing them. In fact, I made sure that I owned more than enough of them thus, before I even started my internship, I scoured many scrubs stores for the best deal. At that time, online shops were not as popular. Brick and mortar medical supply stores was the only option. Nowadays, it must be a lot easier for medical professionals to shop because online portals such as blueskyscrubs.com is now easily accessible on the net.
Those were the days…. I was clad in white six days a week. Yes, I was in the boring white uniform and I liked it. The uniforms for people working in the medical field nowadays are now more on trend. Once in a while, when I’m in a medical facility for well visits and the like, I can’t help but let my mind wander and imagine myself clad in the more fashionable and colorful scrubs that are now all the rage.
