When I graduated college last year with a degree in Journalism I honestly didn’t think I’d have that hard of a time finding a job. I mean, of course I’d been reading the news and hearing the stories about the job market but I was a college educated woman and I had a lot going for me.
My resume was stacked with stuff outside of school and I even had some great reference letters to hand over. That job just didn’t come, though, and it took forever for me to finally find something and it was all the way in Texas. I actually had a lot of fun during the moving process, finding a place, getting Just Energy and talking to my new neighbors but the job itself sort of leaves some things to be desired. I guess I just didn’t realize the crisis applied to me and I figured my education would get me out of the hot seat but message to grads out there: that’s not the case.
You’ve got to be lucky!
