I come from a musically inclined family. In fact, as early as age five, I found myself going to a music school one summer simply because my older siblings were all going that summer.
That paved the way for me to learn to read musical notes. Before I knew it, I was already beginning to play some instruments. But I must admit that it took years before I got my hands on the very first instrument. I didn’t realize how complex it is to learn music. While my siblings were already playing the piano, banduria, ukelele, violin, guitar and the like, I was stuck in finishing different levels of music books.
I really enjoyed going through teaching little fingers with piano. Then violin came, and so on and so forth except for one – the guitar. For some reason, I really neglected lessons on that one. At this point, I may have been raring to get one of those fishman blackstack pickup at guitar center if I only knew to play the guitar. There’s someone I know who can peruse it though – my brother. He is still into playing his guitar.
I guess if I put my mind into it, I think it’s not too late to learn to play the guitar. As they say, it’s never too late to learn anything in life.
